Exceptional sausage rolls and they still sell the old Beaumonts Pies although the pastry is not the old recipe which is a shame. If you are going to bring back an old favourite then you need to bring it back fully, including the pastry. The taste of the filling is sensational though. I was not impressed with the Chocolate Eclairs though, the chocolate on top was hard and thick. Needs to be a soft top and lacks a bit of cream inside. Overall, pretty good products and cheap prices. The service was lacking a little with the staff a bit unfriendly. Having said this, they were a little busy at the time I visited the shop.

This bakery never lets me down, the pies and sausage rolls are always fresh and tasty and I think they make the best vanilla slice in Geelong. I visited it again recently with my sister and thoroughly enjoyed my special occasional treat, that is, a calorie packed, tasty meat pie, a delicious vanilla slice and a latte. The coffee is pretty ordinary, but that is made up for by the great range of cakes and slices. The eat in section is the basic table and chairs, but the do bring your coffee to the table. and put your pie, etc on a plate.

On a day trip to Geelong i got the one-and-only to look up bakeries with a decent reputation on my phone as i drove toward the area. We couldn't find much info on the place but gave it a shot. They have a good selection of pies and pastries, and a lot of desserts too. I went with my standard, a bacon pie and a sausage roll. The pie was pretty nice, very rich and the bacon flavour came through nicely. The pastry was delicious! Tasted very home made and rich. The sausage roll was pretty nice too, albeit needing a little more seasoning in my opinion. The prices though? Very high. The pies were over $5 and the sausage roll from memory was around $3.80 - so be prepared to pay, but they have decent food. I also had a caramel slice which tasted like it was made with at least a contribution of jersey caramel. It was very moreish. There's a decent amount of seating available but the parking outside is 15min only. Give this place a try if you're in the area.

Approximate cost: $28

Pies are getting to be very expensive, but I find the cheaper places aren't very good...
