Went here yesterday for lunch with a friend. I had the Salad with spinach, tomato, balsamic and buffalo mozzarella and the Italian Meatballs. Both were delicious. Service was very attentive.

Excellent food! Take my partner out for dinner here quite often. Classy, great vibe. I recommend it!

'Chain restaurant' tends to bring to mind images of boring symmetry across the chain, lack of diversity and monotonous. Not so at Rococo. Instead, I was pleasantly surprised by the vibrancy of the place. No clone effect. The menu was thoughtful, and offered dishes such as chicken tortellini brodo, seafood spaghetti which featured seemed to be 80% seafood 20% spaghetti - no complaints there as the seafood was great produce too, and perfectly cooked quail with a nutty, earthy mushroom risotto.
Great service & surrounds, Rococo would definitely be on my list of 'chain' restaurants.

I recently went to Rococo in Hawthorn with friends for dinner. The place was crowded and we had to wait quite a while for a table. The service was quite poor as the staff were constantly rushing around to serve the other customers. That is understandable but we had to wait quite a while to have our orders taken down. Secondly, the food took a long time to arrive at our tables. Although the quality of the food was good, the price was still a bit higher than average. The atmosphere was very nice and the restaurant looked very "high-class". I would have to say that Rococo is one of the most popular restaurants in Hawthorn. I think I will dine there again when the restaurant is not as busy as Friday evening! :)

My favorite local restaurant and always fall for the steak with the chunky potatoes to die for however there's also the HUGE pasta options as well. You can never complain that you don't get your moneys worth at Rococo! Service is attentive but word to the wise - if you can tolerate it then sit outside. Inside can be pretty noisy when the place is full which is frequently. Overall pretty good - been four times and still to see if there's a dessert menu - seem to be forgotten there. Good for all the family and worth forgiving for that one drawback.

Chargrill calamari - I have been here several times - this place can be noisy when it's full. It is very popular, I was there most recently on a Thursday evening for dinner. The food is good and pretty good value for Glenferrie Road, Hawthorn. Even though it can be busy, you can still conduct a conversation comfortably with your dinner companion(s). Try the char-grilled calamari salad, very good. Salads and bread are fresh, coffee is good. Parking can be a challenge.

The thin based pizza here is pretty good, though for the price I expected much more. This cafe is decorated beautifully though the positives for me end there, the staff, I felt where a little rude and very, very slow in taking our order, our food took a while to come out too even though it wasn't that busy.

This is such a lovely place in Hawthorn to go for dinner. The design is beautiful, with elegant wooded tables set up. I ate the garlic bread and a pizza, and I was very impressed. It all tasted delicious, and was a little bit gourmet. The mocktail I tried was also yummy. Will definitely go back when I'm in the area again! Service was very good.

This place has some great Italian food, and something we tried recently was some of the tapas style dishes - small serves of "finger style" food to share including meat balls, fish/chicken pieces and vegetables. The meat balls are great - order them and you will understand!!

Service is friendly and the waitress checks in to make sure that everything is okay during the dining experience.

Our order did take some time despite it not being busy that day. Not sure what happened in the kitchen!

Pricing represents reasonable value for money with most dishes around the $20 mark and tapas style items around $6 to $9.

Approximate cost: $20
