I listed my property with Rentwest, and it has not been a pleasant experience.

Shortly after I signed with Rentwest, they launched a new way of managing property. Instead of one property manager, it was a team of them. There was a different contact every time you needed to speak to someone. Things were getting missed, follow-ups were difficult and it became frustrating very quickly. This change came with no prior warning, it just happened. Not even a courtesy email to tell me where to direct my enquiries.

Some of the main issues I experienced whilst being with Rentwest was; they granted early access to the property to the tenant without my consent (outside of the agreed dates on the tenancy agreement), failed to pay accounts that were in my name on time, failed to identify and address a major breach (I had to flag it with them based on my review of an inspection report), failed to inform me of items in a timely manner as per the management agreement, and were very poor at maintaining communication, which includes management as well.

I am unable to recommend this agency to other property owners, and I would suggest doing your homework before signing up with them. It is not worth the headache.

I was formerly a tenant of Rentwest Solutions and the service was poor from the get-go. The owner of the property was living at the premises before we moved in and had not cleaned up after himself. We spent the first few days cleaning the house before we could move into the property and our Tenancy contact did not want to upset the owner. To get things fixed at the property took a long time and it became easier to contact the owner directly in the end. In fact the owner expressed his disgust and disappointment with the Real Estate Agents within Rentwest.
