Went here as a group catch up and it was great! All the food came out all together, everyone loved their meal and the staff were lovely!

Their meals are really tasty, classic choices, with enough variety.prices are a bit more on the higher price, but it's a really relaxing atmosphere and the convenient location ensures you an get to your next destination whether it be train, cinema, bar or puffing billy easily.

We were seated around the corner though and this lead us to being forgotten about a couple times, so if you want to prevent this possibly occurring sitting in an area seen easier is good

My friend and I recently enjoyed afternoon tea at the Reel Cafe. We thoroughly enjoyed our coffee/chai, our cakes were served with a dollop of cream and were delicious. We found the staff to be friendly and helpful and we thought the prices seemed in line with other cafes in the area. Considering the quality of food and service we will happily return, and the nearby parking is a bonus especially for Belgrave.

Dropped in their for lunch recently. We shared a pork belly entree which was absolutely delicious. For a main I had salmon with a pomegranate glaze...excellent. I was quite impressed, I've never been there before despite shopping in Belgrave since the Reels inception. What a shame..so many good meals I must have missed out on!

Reel cafe is rocks! It's a great place to drop in for a coffee or a meal, the atmosphere is fantastic and super cozy by the open fire in winter and the staff are great, always friendly and kind. The proximity to Cameo cinemas is a fantastic advantage. The hot chocolate is my favorite drink but best of all is their desserts and cakes which are delicious! All of which can be warmed up and served with fresh cream!!!

Cafe Reel is a great place for a coffee or a meal. The atmosphere is lovely in either summer or winter. In winter the fire adds to the warmth of the cafe. The food and coffee are wonderful along with the reasonable prices.

I always get my coffee and lunch here when I'm in Belgrave. I love comfy the couches and the open fire in the winter. Coffee is always good as is the food. I've never been disapointed yet!

I've eaten here a few times and like there food, but they are quite expensive for what they serve, also the quality is not so good on some things.

Pleasant ambience with lovely gas log fire when cold. Nice couches if you are just wanting a coffee. Food is very nice though menu is limited, a bit pricey (for a cafe) and doesn't change. Service is mostly good. Cinema next door is great if you want to make a 'reel' night of it.

Approximate cost: $25

Just came back from a fabulous dinner at the Reel. Wasn't busy but it is Monday night.
Aside from the fact I had really great company, I have had a really great experience. When I first walked in I was greeted by the waiter and seated. I was impressed with the big gas heater and the unbelievably delicious assortment of cakes.
I had some time to wait for my friend to turn up, so I had a good read of the menu. It was really hard to decide. There were so many great options. Do I go the free-range beef or the chicken crumbed in Moroccan spices? In the end I stuck with the simple pumpkin salad. And even though it was just a salad, it turned out to be really filling and scrumptious.

We only waited maybe 10 minutes for our meals and our drinks came immediately.

Whilst the prices are a bit steep considering the location and so on ($30 average sized meal), I felt the quality and service made up for it. I was really, really tempted to get dessert, but I'd been healthy with my salad...but now, geez, those rocky road chocolate cakes really did look that good.

Maybe I'll go back this weekend!

This one has my tick of approval. It's a little gem tucked humbly beside the Cameo theatre. But don't let outside appearances fool you. I was pretty satisfied.

Approximate cost: $30
