We ventured into the Rare Opportunity Shop on a bleak winters day only to be greeted by an enthusiastic shop assistant who told us that they were having a sale $5 a plastic bag full of clothes or 2 bags for $8. Well I can say that the $8 we paid netted us 17 pieces of quality second-hand clothes. (From Boys clothing to Men's and a good amount of Women's quality clothing ie Autograph, Table Eight). Really worth a visit if you're in the vicinity of Stawell.

On one side is a party supplies shop and on the other the thrift/charity store. Like any opportunity shop it fluctuates in terms of what is available and the quality. The assistants are friendly and helpful as a rule and the place does not smell musty. Not many books. The categories are well set out and there is usually a $1 specials rack. I got a $5 bag lot which I thought was good value but I feel the normal individual prices are a bit high.
