Can only review based on breakfast and coffee, of which i've been there multiple times for! Amazing breakfast menu, good coffee (but not my fave in hobart!) and a great vibe. Staff are friendly, and service is pretty good. Will definitely be going back soon :)
Raincheck for me is always a bit hit and miss unfortunately. When they're busy in the kitchen expect an hour wait for food. Menu is tired and hasn't changed in years. Best breaky however is their eggs benedict. Beautiful! Great interior though not many seats you need to book ahead.

I've gone in a few times with a girlfriend for after work drinks and snacks. Every time we've had great service and food. The wait staff that I've been served by were very friendly and knowledgeable on pairing food and drinks.
I went a while ago with a friend, and really liked the atmosphere for the place, but thought the coffee was nothing special and my cookie tasted old.
I returned a few days ago as I had half an hour to kill. The lady who served me was disinterested, and served while flicking through a notebook. No smile, no thanks, and then charged me a dollar to use EFTPOS.
The place was less than half full, yet it took nearly twenty minutes to get my coffee! I took my cup up at the end and sat on the bench, and the same lady glanced up, but again no smile or thanks. I doubt I'll go back again.
It's a worry when the toast tastes stale!! We had toasted chicken panini or whatever it was called. The chicken was dried out and the toast was dry and tasted stale. The only bit that was fresh and nice was the garnish.
The whole place needs a good clean.
Service was lacking.
I have become a regular. No place compares to the raincheck breakfast. I have tried other places but no one can cook eggs perfectly. They are also very friendly, appreciate that i am a regular and give me great servie. I love it. And its super cheap.
Approximate cost: $12
Went here for a friend's birthday brunch and liked it. Wasn't overly impressed with the food but $9 for toast and their signature baked beans wasn't too bad. The hot chocolate was great as well.
Service wasn't amazing but they were busy with a full restaurant and I'm glad I had booked. I would be interested to try their lunch/dinner menu and would like to see what the service is like when they're not so busy.
Approximate cost: $15
I've been going here for a few years for coffee with friend . The coffee has always been average but we like the atmosphere. Had lunch and some wine with a friend not long ago and was not too impressed. The staff were quite uninterested in serving us, and once we could get their attention they were pretty rude and ended up forgetting a few things from our order. The Tapas was expensive and the haloumi was so salty I couldn't ear it.
Approximate cost: $14
Nice coffee and food. went there on Monday lunch time but they were busy. They have wine as well. The food was very nice. They have variety cheese platter and good value as well.
Approximate cost: $10
I first discovered the Raincheck Lounge about 18 months ago and have been back several times since. Every time I have a fantastic dining experience. Sharing the tapas menu dishes with friends allows you to enjoy many different flavours. The falafel balls are the best I have tasted anywhere. And leave room for one of their hot chocolates - best in Hobart! Service is always friendly and attentive, without being intrusive. Prices are reasonable. This place is a dining gem in Hobart.
