I'm not a big fan of 'salon visits' because I usually associate them with very young, perfectly coiffed women who chatter at me incessantly while giving me a haircut I dislike immensely. My visit to Q Hair and Body was nothing like that! I initially only went to this salon because I bought a voucher off Cudo. Calling up to book in was easy and I was able to get a Saturday appointment without any fuss. I arrived a bit early and was greeted by a friendly guy named Brian who sat me down to discuss what I was getting done. Now the voucher entitled me to foils, a semi-gloss, style cut, cacau conditioning treatment and blow dry/ghd finish. I really appreciated Brian explaining about the lowlights and picking a colour to match my hair. He actually listened when I explained how I wanted my hair cut and told him of some of the problems I have (frizz etc). I was also offered a coffee/hot chocolate while I waited with the foils and they even have massage chairs at the basins. Overall, it was a pleasant couple of hours and I came out with a cut I absolutely LOVE! Even my husband commented on how good my hair looks. He's even thinking of getting his hair done there from now on.
