I was pretty apprehensive at first after a disastrous result at the last place I went but then Anja spoke with me about what I wanted (which I wasn't 100% sure of) and went about cutting. She asked how my hair behaved and what my routine was like and I ended up with a cut that I love and people actually say ‘wow, love your hair' about rather than the usual ‘oh, you had your hair cut'.

It was a massive change from longish to very short and I would have no hesitation at all to recommend her to anyone!

After a few miserable salon experiences elsewhere prior to going to Punch, I didn't walk in to this Salon with any expectations. I was instantly greeted by a small team of attentive, friendly and understanding staff. Sophie worked really diligently to get my colour and what I wanted just right.
At punch you get looked after and they listen. It's your head, it's about what you want. So after a few giggles, teas, colour and a cut, I was ready to walk of a hair salon completely happy with my hair. If I was ever going to high 5 a hairdresser, it would be Sophie. Loved it.

I've finally found my new hairdresser after trying out so many different ones around Melbourne. Martha listened carefully to everything I said and she gave me such an awesome new hairstyle! She's creative, friendly, experienced and I'll definitely be back.

I am so happy with my new hair cut by Martha. I went from long hair to a short bob and it looks fantastic. It is great to find a hair dresser who listens to what you want and really gets it right every time.

I'm at a stage in life where I'm a little sensitive about my hair, given that there's not as much of it as there used to be, and Martha is not only sensitive to that but also skilled at working with that.
Second visit and I had the confidence in Martha to ask her for something new and a little less conservative, which can be a very dangerous thing to ask of a hairdresser. Rather than taking that as a free licence to get wildly creative, she first discussed her ideas for a possible style with me, before cutting my hair as discussed.
Outside of the great hairdressing skills, Martha is really friendly and great for a chat.

I've had my hair cut twice by Martha. She works super hard to give you what you want and offers tonnes of advice if you don't know exactly what that is. She is also really easy to talk to.

Punch is a cool, but really laid back salon, I'm glad I've finally found a place where I'm happy to become a regular!

I would like to highly recommend Martha, who has done my hair each time I have visited Punch. I normally get a cut and or colour (foils). Not only is she very talented, but also lets me read quietly...and with my exams coming up that was very much appreciated. She gives you the facts that you need to hear, has given me excellent advice on how to properly treat my hair, and knows exactly what I want even if I don't. All round a fantastic experience and I will definitely keep coming back.
