I always leave with a satisfied smile. Great food and service is rare in Melbourne. You either love or hate what u do. They obviously thrive on ensuring every customer thst walks through those doors are soo happy n experience a unique dining experience at really good value. Love love the quotes all over the shop. They are the very definition of hard work to produce fresh n tasty Vietnamese cuisines

Amazing authentic Viet food! I usually go to Springvale for my Viet food hit but this place hits the spot with their dishes. I go for the lunch menu which are so well priced considering you also get a selection of either tea or soft drinks and a dessert treat at the end of your meal. You either like or hate the way the owner works around the little restaurant. She cares about her customers, she's there to serve you up a delicious quick hot meal so she does seem a bit high energy but me and my friend love it and think shes hilarious. Overall we love this place!

Love, love, LOVE this place! As a former Victoria Street resident and Vietnamese food snob I didn't think I would find a good cheap Vietnamese in Mount Waverley... but I am so glad to be wrong! After watching a procession of businesses come and go in this tiny shop behind the stallwart Chicken Bar we are delighted the Proud Peacock has become a regular dinner spot for us. Sure... sometimes you have to fight to get in the door but as every other Melbournian knows that makes you want to eat there even more. We are big fans of the Singpore Noodles and the Beef and Soy Rice Noodles. We also keep ordering the Salt and Spicy Chicken Ribs even though we have tried to make an effort to order different things each time. Prices are very good in comparison to other restaurants in the area and excellent in comparison to other Vietnamese offerings. Service is pretty attentive and even when they are run off their feet it's hard to complain as there a always lots of complimentary drinks and desserts to be had. You can also book...bonus.

Stumbled upon this place tonight. Had dinner there with my wife. I had the beef abd beef ball noodles and she had the cambodian noodles. Both were very tasty. Service was very good and the suprise complimentary dessert at the end capped off a great meal. Very reasonable prices.

Very easy going mix of Thai/Vietnamese foods. Inexpensive, good service with very friendly staff. Perhaps the chicken skewers could have been soaked for a while (the chicken stuck to them) and the green curry needed a bit more kick but otherwise all was great. Particularly outstanding were the salt and pepper spicy prawns. Did we pay for the 'surprise' at the end? I hope not. If we didn't order something, we shouldn't pay for it. But we'd go back, definitely.

Amazing place. Food is not only cheap but also generous in size and taste. Service is also excellent. I usually like to order pho which is around $9. They also have a variety of home made drinks, which are good to try.

exceptionally great customer service you get a free desert the manager always give me a cup of soy bean milk to drink foc when i go there and the food is absolutely delish

The management is now back to the original and they're as good as ever! The lady there is so friendly and loves giving food away. Before you finish your meal, she'll come with plates of dessert! The decor might not be the best but the food and service makes me keep coming back!

Went there once on a Thursday night. The service was of the highest quality. I was impressed by the cleanliness of the restaurant. The mains were delicious and the entrees even better. Will be going again.
