Admittedly we went on the night of the AGM, so it was packed and the line was huge. But this isn't the reason for the lower score on the service.
Sarah (apparently the manager, but she looks like she's in her teens!) served us and she was lovely. Lauren (there's apparently 2 of them) was not though. Asked for the wine (per the Scoopon) and she brought the one I requested over. However, last minute my partner changes her mind and I request the other. It's unfortunate, but stuff happens.
But instead of being lightly reminded or gently prodded that it was an impost on the company (apparently they couldn't 'resell' it as it was a promotional item only), Lauren got all stroppy with me. For sake of wanting the other wine, I kept my head and didn't start anything. But I should have.

Anyway, cue Sarah to whom we related the story and she was all apologies and understanding and made our experience all better again. Go Sarah :0)

The food... Mmm... The food. Of the seafood plate, only the salt and pepper squid was any good. The fish was basa and didn't really taste good at all. Not even the batter could save it. The prawns weren't all that much better. Crab cakes were a bit of the let down and the chips could have been cremated for that bit longer.
