Have been frequenting Pipers for over 2 years, just find that l always have to ask for the coffee to be hotter. They seem to want to serve it luke warm. Need to fix this problem
Approximate cost: $16.00
beautiful surroundings choice to dine inside or out looking onto the lake, a great choice for breakfast or lunch and great service.
Approximate cost: $15.00
Had a beautiful breakfast here on the weekend! The best muesli i have had and my friend had the Pipers special and was very happy! The staff were very friendly and the coffee was lovely! highly recommended to those looking for a relaxed morning out!
Approximate cost: $15.00
Good menu and service in nice surroundings with the option to dine indoors or out (weather dependant). The lunch specials are good value - I had the risotto and my wife the prawns on rice. Both meals were of good size for their price and came with a glass of house wine.
Service is good though you order at the counter with your table number - no table service. The coffee is good as we regularly grab one on market days. Popular location due to the park and botanical gardens and parking can become an issue on busy, sunny days. Bookings a must if you don't want to be disappointed.
Approximate cost: $15
Nice atmosphere and a good place to catch up with friends and lovely food. Staff accommodated for 3 mums with prams! A spacious venue with both indoor and outdoor tables.
went on week ends and week days excellent food and service the mon-fri lunch was $15 with a glass of house wind or soft drink was a real value for money good portion great presentation and more that 6 meal variety to choose from I will go again and recomend to every one
Approximate cost: $15-20
I have been to Pipers a few times over the years. It is such a great location and room, Although I have never really had a great meal, they were nice, but not the nice that makes you really want to go back all the time. Would love to go here all the time if the Menu was a little better and more options
I love the atmospher of Pipers & it has lovely views of the lake. The restaurant is nice and spacious & can seat large groups comfortably. The food is delicious! It can be a bit pricey but I think it's well worth it.
First of all, they have friendly and young staff, they make me cheerful.
Even though I occupy the place for long time with a cup of coffee, they never interrupt me making me all the time comfortable.
Nice food and good flavor coffee with friends and family on weekends
Approximate cost: $20
Despite having the most picturesque setting this restaurant is severely lacking in service. I have been here on a number of occasions with friends and almost every time you order coffee and cake you will get your drinks or your cake but never both at the same time. Twice I have actually had to walk into the restaurant to enquire about what has happened to the coffees or the drinks.
Approximate cost: $15

My understanding is that coffee should be served at about 60 - 65 degrees which is really just above warm, otherwise the taste is ruined as the milk seperates?
Sorry to hear that the coffee is not as warm as you would like at times. It is a fine line to get right as once the temperature of the milk goes over a certain level the taste is compromised. However I will have a word to the barista staff and make sure we are doing everything as we should be to make the best coffee in Ballarat and that includes getting the temperature right.
