I have been to Petrol on a number of occasions. This is a calm lovely spot, only a block from all the busy main street of Kings Cross. The coffee is very good - the omelette with smoked bacon is delicious and the bacon, bananas and maple syrup with a berry compote on sourdough is just spectacular. The only criticism I have is that service can be slow if it's busy. Great for breakfast.

Recently on a short stay in Sydney, we happened upon Petrol and had some dishes from their all day brunch menu! Just lovely!! Service was great & the cute rugs encouraged us to make the most of their outdoor seating despite the fresh weather. Food & service were so good that we stopped by again 2 days later for another breakfast!! Loved all of it!!!

The food is amazing and the service is great, they make you feel right at home. I will be going back for sure, my new regular haunt. and also You have to try the french toast, so good you just want to come back for this.
