went there last thursday ... awesome dinner [members draw nite] ..but its taken us nearly 2 years to come back since awefull meal [we used to go every fortnite then ditched them because of the inconsistancy , so hope the kitchen has its act together again now , using fresh frying oil and clean cutlery goes a long way btw

The wife and I had a not too fond experience of Pelican RSL Chinese restaurant. We ordered a Sichuan dish and my wife who is south China born was most unhappy returning the meal because it was not nearly spicy enough to be referred to as Sichuan. Upon return of the meal to our table it was still not up to par. My wife thinks this restaurant caters for only the western palate. We also ordered fried rice and I was extremely disappointed with the lack of freshness. Most likely refrigerated and re-heated, very stale tasting. Perhaps we caught the chef at a bad moment.

I went here recently for tea & the Chinese was fantastic.I had the satay chicken & fried rice which was very nice.The serving sizes are great & the prices are very reasonable.They even do takeaway & usually have lunchtime specials.They have a good range of items on the menu & the staff were very friendly.They also have a courtesy bus which is great if you live close by & want to have a drink or two.Will definitely be going back to try some other things off the menu.

This is a great little club and its always a good night out here. the Chinese Restaurant is very nice and the friend rice is delicious, they also do takeaways. The club has a courtesy bus if you are wanting to have a few drinks.

Pelican RSL is an affordable and great place to take the family. The meals are always plentiful and well cooked. You can choose from indoor or outdoor dinning both providing a great atmosphere. There is also a playground for the kids.
