The 'best' restaurant in the hills and beyond. The food is sensational. I love this food very good quality and have the ability to actually make food extra spicy and it is. Unlike most who say yes but only add extra sauce, best chinese in the hills.

I have been dining here in excess of 35 years and never had a bad experience and always welcomed warmly even if I haven't been there for 12 months.

My family & friends are now also regulars.

My son in law did not like Asian food and is now a convert.

Andy (the owner & chef) will go out of his way to satisfy tell him how much you want to spend ($30 to $50) and he will arrange dishes to please which do not feature on the menu.

Approximate cost: $40

We went here for dinner New Years Eve and the place was quite full. My girlfriend had been here many times before but it was my first time there.

While the décor is quite dated it is traditional Chinese restaurant style.

We started with complimentary Prawn Crackers and then had Sesame Prawn Toast for entrée ... the Prawn Toast was quite large and full of that Prawny goodness that you are after and was served with Plum Sauce.

For mains we had the Seafood Birds Nest ($22.50) and the Sizzling Scallops with Garlic ($22.50) ... both were delicious although it was probably a little bit of seafood overkill. The sauce on both meals was also quite thick.

Sharon had Chinese Tea and I had an Apple Cider and the total of the meal was about $63.

There are 3 Banquet Menus available ... $30, $32 and $34 per person ... we might go for one of those next time.

Overall it was a pleasant evening with good food and great company.

Approximate cost: $18

One of the best chinese restaurants in Melbourne or maybe even Victoria, the most loveliest of staff, that will have a chat to you as well as giving exceptional service to their customers.
Meals are just delicious and a generous portion our family of 3 get 2 mains and a large fried rice and that fills us up. Beef and black bean is so tender and the sweet and sour pork is not fatty like you find at a lot of places. Our two favourite meals

Best Chinese ever! We don't live in upwey any more yet we still come and get our Chinese from here. Food is amazing! Services is amazing! And the prices are great for the amount of food you get.

Pearl Garden is our favourite Chinese restaurant. Have been going there for years. The banquets are well priced, and so much food. The meals never take long to be prepared and delivered.

Approximate cost: $15-20

We had dined at Pearl Garden for the first time. I'm really fussy about the quality of restaurant food and I was impressed with the quality of our meals. The ingredients were good quality, the food tasted good and it wasn't too salty as they don't add MSG to their food. The servings were generous and the prices were good. The service was also good. We didn't need to wait too long for our meals and the waiter was pleasant. The hot towels and fortune cookies at the end of the meal were a pleasant touch. We have dined at other Chinese restaurants in the hills and we think that Pearl Garden is the best so far.

Every time we either dine in or take away from this restaurant we are always extremely satisfied. We live in Narre Warren and travel all the way to Upwey as we will only have Chinese from this restaurant.

Approximate cost: $13.00

We LOVE Pearl Garden!! ..they do a wonderful pancake as an entree! beautiful fresh dishes! & it's lovely that you get the hot towels before & after dinner. Prawn crisps to start are free! They also give you a fortune cookie & a glass of port to finish ... just those little touches are great! And it's a BYO!
