An assistant spent an hour patiently helping me to find a good pair of athletic shoes. He listened to what i liked about my old pair of Brooks runners and what I was looking for in my new purchase. He managed to find me 2 pairs and made sure they fit into the stores 2 for 1 policy.
I walked out wondering why anyone would buy their athletic shoe's anywhere else!

Went in to buy some gym shoes, which on the website were quite well priced.

However, when I went in store to look at these shoes, there were none in the store. About 3 pairs that I was interested in were no where to be found.

I was also in store for around 20 minutes, and while there were at least double the number of staff to customers - I was not approached once! Instead staff chose to sit together and chat, rather than get a sale!

Quite disappointing as I did not get any advice or any of the shoes that I really wanted!

This store has an okay range of last-season's shoes. Service is terrible, even though they were offering a 2 for 1 deal I left after standing for a while whilst the store operators stood 2 m away having a lengthy chat that was definitely not work related! I wouldn't hold it against the Paul's chain, but low overheads are clearly reflected in the quality of service at this store.
