Stopped into here for coffee recently while catching up with a friend.

Great menu selections, wish I didnt have breakfast now as the meals they were serving up looked great. Definately will have breaky next time.

Like another reviewer stated--I was amazed to discover a place like Parramatta Park in the middle of a suburban city like Parramatta. And not just the park, but this wonderful cafe. Sitting beneath a canopy of some of the most magnificent Jacaranda trees I've ever seen, and overlooking the slightly less magnificent, but nonetheless pretty, parramatta river, the cafe is a real gem.

While it seems to be busy 7 days a week (suits on weekdays, families weekends), it never feels crowded, though the service, while unfailingly friendly polite, can be slow.

Their all day breakfast is my favourite. I love their omelette, but their big breakfast deserves a mention, all served with generous slices of yummy sourdough toast. They make their own Apple abd rhubarb jam, which is lovely; unfortunately, their coffee is pretty average (often scalded, but drinkable).

There is plenty of parking immediately *before* the cafe--Parramatta Park has a looooong, one way circuit, and if you miss this, there is a small car park immediately AFTER the cafe, but it's often full.

I really love this cafe. My favourite place to spend a lazy weekend morning.

I live in Melbourne now but I thought I should write this because it is coming up to my favourite time of year to visit Parramatta Park.

I've always found it amazing that in the middle of a city such as Parramatta there is this beautiful park with the river running through it and lush greenery alongside. The cafe is located on Byrnes Avenue, surrounded by jacaranda trees. There are quite a few parking spots nearby which makes it a convenient meeting place. My friends and I would catch up over brunch here and have a stroll through the park afterwards. I found it a very tranquil 'oasis' far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.

As for the cafe itself, the food is basic cafe style food which I wouldn't call particularly remarkable, and the service can be extremely slow on occasion. I would however consider this place to be a must do simply because of its location.

If you are going to visit, I very highly recommend you do so in late October - early November when the jacarandas are in full bloom: it is absolutely gorgeous. I left Sydney in 2011 after living here 15 years and visiting the park during early November is one of my favourite memories.

The food here was great and although the prices are a little high it is definately worth it. It is a great place to go with your friends for an outing or to celebrate any occasion.
