Purchased a Bahn mi pork roll from the Para Hills Bakery. Never again. It’s served already prepared, wrapped in a brown paper bag. When you open it (mine fell on the ground as I got out of the car due to the bag bursting) it has one slice of cucumber, a small sprig of coriander, a couple of slices of roast pork and copious carrots. Not at all the quality I am used too. Disappointed is an understatement.

We purchased a themed cake for a lawn bowls social day, I asked for an in between size,(approximately exactly between a small and medium), the lady obliged.
I asked for a green iced cake with round black lollies on each corner representing bowl's, just a simple iced green sponge.
I left a deposit and picked the cake up on the day, what I got was a heavy sponge, with uneven icing, not actually covering the entire cake or meeting the edges , each corner had a black and white humbug (these were meant to represent a round lawn-bowl (not quite what we had discussed).
It was too late to repair or save the cake so I took what I had and many of the ladies were touched at my thoughtfulness but agreed it was poor craftsmanship and not a nice sponge cake for $36.00.
Most cake was naturally, left over.
Sadly the owner of the shop made matter's worse when I returned to the shop regarding my disappointing, I
was met by her steely face, as she muttered something illegible as she walked out the back, she did not return to the counter leaving me feeling helpless and alone in the shop. No apology was offered.
I left the remaining green brick on her counter.
Sadly since these new owner's have taken over, the quality has gone down.
I had ordered several birthday cakes previously and they were lovely.
I warn off any potential buyer of cake's.
Sadly word travels fast and a whole bowls club tasted this 'green brick' cake, representing something the grand kid's made, I made sure all fellow bowler's new where I had ordered it and that I personally would never enter the shop again.

Approximate cost: $36 small-medium cake

This bakery has truly beautiful pies and a large variety, their potato and bacon pie is to die for. Sweet cakes and pastries are amazing too, vanilla slice.

BEST.....SAUSAGE....ROLLS....EVER!

My kids love it when I stop in here (or their sister shop at Foodland shopping centre) - so many fresh and yummy biscuits, cakes and other treats for really good prices. I stop in quite often for their sausage rolls, a recipe which I believe helped win them best Bakery in Adelaide. I would definitely recommend stopping in if ever you are nearby!

Approximate cost: $2.50

A nice, cheap bakery that sells delicious cakes, bread and rolls and drinks. It is run by friendly people who offer great service at a good low cost.
