A nice chill out place to dine with your partner. Environment was relaxing so was the set out of the place. Staff were very calm and professional. Customer satisfaction has been met money wise and food taste wise. Next time I will try a different order on the menu as there are a lot of things to chose from.

This place is very relaxed, easy going and not fussy. It is almost like someone's ultimate "rec" room except they have a kitchen...and what a kitchen!

The food here is all very cheap, ranging from $12-$16 for hearty mains and you get MORE than you pay for but responsible portion sizes. The food is modern contemporary ranging from asian fusion to deconstructed pub food like a chicken parma'ish (with a twist) and wagyu bangers and mash on the specials board. I have eaten almost everything on their menu in the many times I have been. If I am looking for good hearty meal and no hassle on Brunswick street this place is always my go to.

The staff are friendly and it's pretty low key. All ordering is done at the bar and then served to your table. Dress up, dress down, play pool, go for drinks...STAY for dinner. This place is clearly my go to for no muss, no fuss and big groups.

They have a small desert menu and I suggest the sticky fingers...although I rarely turn down sticky date pudding....anywhere :)

If you are strolling around Fitzroy with family or friends and want an easy meal without the "posing" give it a try. Kids welcome

I would've given Palookaville more stars if they made their meals bigger, but having said that, the meals aren't tiny or anything... I'm just a big eater! The parma is quite standard but the other dishes are very tasty. For $12, you get quite a good meal. The place is very open and relaxing. There's a pool table and a vintage video game to keep people amused. The staff are very friendly which is what you expect on this end of town. Overall, I love this place and would recommend you try it out.

A really nice casual style licensed restaurant serving BIG mains for $12!!!!!
My fave is the Spanish Grilled Chicken Fillets (served with serrano ham on paella rice with grilled peppers & chorizo sausage), and the Sticky date pudding.
You have a choice of sitting at the tables or on lovely leather or retro couches or outside and u can watch the exciting, busy Brunswick St. They also have a Pool table and always have nice music playing.
A very affordable and nice place for an evening out.
