I wasn't overly impressed with these markets except for the fruit and vegie area. You expect the usual phone cover type things but pretty much everything else was rubbish that was overly priced. Service was different throughout the different stalls as they are all run separately so one would be rude and not interested where another would be super helpful to the point of annoying. Hey, a good day out was had anyway.

You can get so many items really cheap- both real and fake. Be careful if you are looking for cheap authentic brands- they sell so many faux bags its not funny. I suggest buying ugg boots, makeup and sunnies which are generally real. They have delicious produce and also cheap clothes!

I have to say I always buy there some souvenirs when i am going overseas and people just love them. It's a great place to get basically anything.
The fruit and veggie market is always busy and you can shop there for the whole family.
If you get hungry you can visit the food court upstairs with nice Asian cuisine.

You buy things here that you cannot buy anywhere else! There genuine ugg boots which are less than half the advertised price. Good quality school shoes which are only $30. The dried foot and nuts are always very delicious and relatively fresh because of how popular they are! You can also get the most amazing Lebanese pastries from them!

I visited last feburary, I haven't been there in a long while. Back when I was shopping from here I never realised the general level of the quality of the products. As a high school student, they were pretty sweet deals.

Now that I come back, the deals weren't as sweet. Every store I pass by, I see counterfeits after counterfeits, fake new era caps, fake nba jerseys. way too many bootlegs.

Yes the knock offs are cheaper, but the quality of the goods are even more cheaper. There are some honest merchants who sell authentic products. Services such as massages are offered.

Just remember, when you're shopping here, if it looks too good of a deal, then look carefully to check its authenticity. Then again no one who is after authentic merchandises would be shopping from here.

I have been going to the markets for 10 years and I went 2 weekends ago and found everything quite expensive for what it was. Some store would bargin others were not interested which I found odd for the markets. I'm less and less interested in going. They have good travel bags and backpacks and things like that though.

This is a great day out theres so much to do shopping wise and eateries, food, drink and more. The stalls are great and you can negoiate prices, or haggle if you like and it usually works, especially if your paying cash. We have bought lots of touristy stuff here to send OS and gifts for the non senior relatives and friends. There is everything you will find what ever your after, clothes, luggage, sunglasses dried food, fresh food, it really is all very exotic and coulourful

Approximate cost: $$

I love Paddy's Markets- whenever we go to the city the markets are a MUST. Just walking through the huge number of stalls and grabbing some delicious dried mango from the fruit & nut store! The fresh fruit/vegies/fish section is also a great bargain with produce coming straight from farmers. (Although it can be very cramped!) Overall it is a fun experience.

You can always find a bargain, just don't expect it to be a quality product that will last long. Not as packed out as Flemington markets.
