I just moved to Maroubra and this deli seemed to sell very good products, but unfortunately that is not the case. Me and my husband bought biscuits and coffee beans from there and they were both old and expired. We had to throw everything in the bin. Today I went back there to buy some sweets and a pack of a different coffee. I checked the coffee expiry date and it actually had expired 3 months ago. I told the sales assistant about it and she offered me a 3 dollar discount on it and was very angry and rude when I politely said that I didn't want to buy because it was expired. I just wanted to inform her and to see if she could find one that was not expired but she didn't care, she was just angry. I thought the customer service of this establishment to be really bad and so the products they sell. It is illegal to display and even worse, to offer expired products to customers! I told her and [redacted due to personal identifier] about the previous products that I bought there that were also expired and they didn't care, didn't offer me any compensation, in fact, they were angry that I was telling them that. What a outrageous place, never will go back there. Will definitely report this place to Health & Safety authorities!!
the best in maroubra
Approximate cost: $20
I always find this has very fresh produce and very well presented.. Their dips are very tasty and often have a selection of cheeses to try outside the store. If not, the staff are happy to give a small taste.
