10 reviews about Outback Jacks Bar & Grill

We got take away from here for dinner the other night and I was a bit dubious as we have only heard bad things. We were told that our order would be 10 minutes. Pretty much exactl 10 minutes later our order arrived. Fresh and hot and cooked well.
The prices seemed a little high, but the food was delicious! Very tempted to eat in now and try some other menu items.

Ahhh, Outback jacks, took over a perfectly good Lonestar! outback jacks has much lower quality food for even more money! They never get the steaks right, service is poor and my drinks tasted like soda water!!!! Will not be returning.

I love the atmosphere of this restaurant. My husband and I went here about six months ago to try their lunch specials for $9.95. I thought that the quality and portions would not be that great due to the price, but I certainly was wrong! They gave us the best tasting burgers and chicken that I had eaten in a long time! The staff was very friendly, and the service was outstanding. Since that time we have come back to eat there about three times, and I am always impressed with the quality of the food and the service. The restaurant in now under new management, so perhaps some of these older reviews are from that time. If you're looking for a great place to eat with an above average atmosphere, then try this place. You will not be disappointed by the quality of their food.

Visiting on a midweek lunch we were seated and served quite quickly, the kids got colouring in books and crayons to keep them busy so that was a bonus. I ordered a chicken salad that came out in a big tortilla basket, the menu said it had a spicy sauce but i didnt find it that hot at all. We used a buy one get one free meal coupon out of the entertainment booklet and they happily accepted.

Had an all you can eat ribs and wings deal some time ago. Thought it tasted okay. The sauces were a bit sickly sweet and ribs fatty. The soft drink post mix was the worst I have ever had. Changed it for bottled drink.

Approximate cost: $29+

My children like the Jack's cheese and chips (chips, cheese and ranch dressing - though I preferred Lone Star's version) here which is why I keep coming back. However, personally, I find the quality totally inconsistent. I always order a medium steak but sometimes it comes medium, and mostly well done, all grey inside and charcoal on the outside. If you can manage to get hold of a staff member they will replace it but the staff do everything they can to avoid eye contact and coming to your table to ask how your meal is. You can't even get a refill of your drinks without huge effort. They do take-away meals which is nice, but on the downside they never estimate the time correctly - you will always end up waiting - and they will often forget the steak sauce, the ranch dressing, the salad dressing, things like that. Be sure to always check before leaving the store, even if they insist to you they checked don't trust them, you need to check it yourself.

Frankly, the quality here is poor and worse, it is just so inconsistent. You might have a good visit one time, but a terrible visit the next time. There is no consistency in service or food quality whatsoever.

I would never go back if it was not for my children insisting they love the cheese and chips.

Approximate cost: $40

Hmm should've looked at these reviews before I let my friends pick the restaurant. Fingers crossed my experience tonight will be better.

We have now visited this place 3 times. Thinking that we would give them benefit of the doubt, unfortunately on every single occasion we have been extremely dissapointed. Slow/poor service, undercooked food, extremely lengthy wait times for food/drinks and somewhat overpriced for what you get. We have attempted to speak with management regarding some complaints we had regarding out experience and were basically fobbed off!!! We would never recommend this place and will certainly not be returning

the food was'nt very nice, the service was rushed but friendly. it took a long time for the food to arrive at the table and was a bit cold. the food was tasty but the price was a bit hefty for the quality, not a good time. maybe someone else had a better experience.

Approximate cost: $20-30$

My chicken schnitzel was burnt, it was obviously burnt and no decent sever or cook would have served this to a paying customer. I was with a group of people who were all somewhat to very disappointed with their meals. Yes I paid full price for the meal. Meal = Burnt, Taste = Burnt, Price = High (even if the meal was not burnt), Service = Average. Will I ever go back = No.

Approximate cost: $20 to $50
