So devastated! My daughter and I stayed at Opal Cove Beach Front Resort, Coffs Harbour, NSW in June 2016 and my new Diamond Tears headphones went missing from our room. Will never stay there again - it definitely doesn't feel like a safe place to take your family! We've called over 12 times - spoke to reservations, front desk and housekeeping, and nobody seems to care. Apparently there's nothing they can do about it.

We booked this accomodation using a wot if special of $120/ night as we were staying for the long weekend. When we turned up we were asked If we wanted a special of $18/ continental breakfast per person per morning. We said yes for the 2 mornings we were staying. We were given a form saying room 314 and a key for room 334. Our room was reasonable but dated freshly painted walls (but skirting boards were noticeably not done) room was comfortable enough although it was quite cold and they only had a thin blanket luckily we had brought a spare from home. Also the tv had no foxtel or option to purchase movies or DVD player and most the channels had no reception. First morning we went to the restaurant for our breakfast and they didn't have us written down so we had to wait for them to call checkin desk. Breakfast was reasonable. Although we had to listen to a staff member going off at other staff members for situating a table where she couldn't fit her trolley through... The second morning we go to check out, and ask if we can check out before doing breaky. They said yes then proceeded to tell us we had a bill of $36 for yesterday's breakfast and they again didn't have us down for the breakfast. They also claimed to have a 1.5% credit card surcharge despite no clear signage at the desk stating as such. We ended up just paying cash for the first mornings breakfast and going elsewhere on checkout day as they just made things too difficult. For a 4 star hotel that boasts their facilities and supposedly has a great reputation we were disappointed in the staff members lack of care or communication and the general dated nature of the building.

Needed a place to sleep for the night as we were traveling from QLD to Sydney. Opal Cove Resort offered a really good price they called it a walk in price. Which was good value. The room was clean, the only negative was the parking lot lighting was not that good and it was hard to find a parking space.

I had my wedding here and it was fantastic food was great!
I have been back numerous times for the buffett breakfast and it was so nice and really good value i thought!

My family and i went up to Opal Cove for breakfast on Christmas morning and i was disappointed in the quality and quantity of the breakfast meals on offer.We all paid $27.00 each for a buffet breakfast and although its a lovely atmosphere to dine in the food was not that good.After my group forked out over $100.00 for brekky there was hardly anything out to eat. After waiting about 10 minutes for all the bain- marie`s to be refilled it was disappointing to find that the bacon and scrambled eggs along with tomatoes and sausages were cold.The coffee and tea was cold as well.This was the third time here for breakfast and on the previous occasions the food was basically the same. So three visits and three strikes.

This is a lovely place to stay. They've a pool, spa, gym, sauna, there own restaurant and bar (which has fantastic food at really reasonable prices) and so much more. I've been here a few times with my family and we have all had a lovely time. Their is so much to do and the rooms are absolutely lovely, always clean and in great condition.
