Its been a long time since I've felt the need to complain about anything but, what i experienced at this vet has certainly caused my family and i real disgust. My cat became ill with a urinary track blockage, which he has had a number of times. We have had him treated at a couple of vets for this ( 5 times in total) so know the process/cost very well. Due to this we have always tried to fined a vet who balances cost and care, which we found at a vets surgery in Caloundra on the Sunshine Coast. This vet is a good hours drive from where we live but is worth the hours drive every time. In this instance due to the nature of the blockage we decided we couldn't afford the time t drive the hour up, so we opted to take our cat back to Northside Vet Care understanding it would be more expensive than the Caloundra vet. Once i was seen i was quoted $1000 - $1500 for my cat to stay in for 2 nights on fluid, pain meds, anti bionics as well as a catheter inserted under aesthetic. When the vet printed off the quote she wrote on the quote the higher amount of $1500, which she asked me to sign as confirmation of acceptance to pay up to that amount.I left our cat there and looked forward to the update over the coming days. After 2 days was up we had the call to let us know he was ok to be picked up. The bill came to $1300. I took down our last bill from the Caloundra vet to compare pricing, as the same procedure for the same length of time only came to $780! Yes thats right a difference of nearly $600. I was confused as to how there could be such a difference and asked the polite lady at reception to printed off an itemised bill so i could go over it before paying. The first line on the bill was anaesthetic which came to $250, to fit a catheter.. Comparing it to the bill from Caloundra they came to $138. I was offered a call from the Manager on Monday(i was there on Sunday).....it is now Friday night and no call, what a surprise. RING AROUND PEOPLE, AVOID THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COSTS!

Pretty good vet. We had our dog desexed here several weeks ago. We were kept up to date through the entire process was great knowing our pooch was in on good hands. reasonably priced, friendly staff. Would consider using again

Took my cat there as he had one leg he couldnt walk on. I was last appt for the night, I was not happy with diagnosis. He still is not any better, in fact I noticed that the foot does not seem to be aligned (it just flops around). I feel they were not too interested as they wanted to close up, wondering whether to take him back there or elsewhere. All i got on night was a 3ml bottle of anti-inflammatories which cost over $40

Approximate cost: $100

After having a very bad experience with our last vet, we have been extremely happy with the service received from Northside Vet Care. Our new puppy has received wonderful care and is currently enjoying puppy pre-school. We would definitely recommend this vet (and I have actually referred a friend to them already) to anyone looking for a vet who really does care about the 'patients' it handles.

These guys had a bad name due to the last owner. This has changed hands now. These vets are confident, efficient and i trusted them to desex my female Mastino.

We started having sub par service and stopped going to these guys because it wasn’t to the best interest for both our Mastini babies and use only Albany Ck Emergency vets now. Very expensive, they are family and family is everything’.

I have been taking my dogs to Northside Vet Care for a couple of years now and would highly recommend them to anyone. They genuinely care about all animals and their welfare. I have found their pricing to be quite reasonable. I would not take my "girls" anywere else!

I would highly recommend Northside vets. The quality of care they provide you family pets is key and you can see that they genuinely love animals. I wouldn't recommend purchasing toys or food there as it is a little on the expensive side. Also, they have a number of vets working there, we found 2 in particular we really like and when we schedule appointments ask for these vets.
