WOW! I have never had a dining experience like this before. Nineteen 23 offers a very unique dining experience, rather than picking your own menu you are given the option of Seven courses: $70 per person or $105 with matching wines or Five courses: $55 per person or $80 with matching wines.

We chose to have the 7 course menu, while this might sound like a lot of courses the meal sizes are small so 7 courses is quiet satisfying.

Each dish comes out a surprise as it is the chefs choice of either dish on the menu. For those of you with special dietary needs or vegetarians you will be catered for, the staff ask if there are any special requirements and these are taken into account. I for example don't eat pork (less it's ham or bacon) so rather than Pork terrine we were served Gravlax of blue-eye cod.

The staff are well trained, friendly, knowledgeable and very attentive. We were served very quickly once we were seated. We had made a booking online and were given a choice of where to sit but where told we might like to take the window seat as a group of four was also expected next to the other window seat for two. I thought it was lovely that they thought of our romantic dinner for two. (The window seats offer a beautiful view of the houses gardens)

As it was our honeymoon we were offered a glass of champagne as a complimentary congratulations. I thought this was indeed a lovely touch.

The whole dining experience was divine. What a way to experience new foods. As it's chefs choice your not quiet sure what your going to get other than one of the two listed items, we sat discussing what we thought we would get and what we secretly hoped might come out.

The meals were served on one plate, two serves which were shared between us on our own individual plates.

Each meal was carefully created, high quality and very tasty. There was not one dish we were not impressed by.
