The liquor store is constantly changing - it was once a small supermarket style shop with lots of alcohol, now it is primarily a liquor store, with an excellent deli and cafe attached.

The cellars showcase a wide variety of spirits, wines and beers and Albert is always willing to give you a hand if you're not sure what you're looking for. There is something for every budget.

The cafe makes some of the best coffee in Diamond Creek - rich, full bodied and flavoursome. The food is just divine although if they are busy it may take a while to get to you. The cafe is a bit squeezy so if you have a pram it is better to try to sit outside although you might still find it a bit difficult. There are a couple of books floating around for young children but it's not really a child friendly place as it is difficult to keep your kids occupied in a small space while you wait for your food. The food is however, magnificent - breakfasts in particular, but I imagine lunch is just as good. If they opened for dinner, I'd probably go there!

Approximate cost: $15 per person for meal and coffee

Fantastic range and super service, Nillumbik Cellars, although not as cheap as Dan Murphy's, is definitely the best 'Cellars' in the region and if you want a special bottle for a reasonable price they're your best bet. Plus the new cafe is pretty good too, with scrumptious little portions and good coffee. They also have an awesome deli section so every Christmas we get ALL our hampers made here...

The Nillumbik Cellars offers an extensive variety of wines and other alcoholic drinks. The wine you want is easy to find as they are a stored in alphabetical order according to the wine maker. The service is excellent. You are free to browse around if you choose or the friendly staff are more than happy to provide you with valuable tips on your wine selection. There is also a small cafe attached which sells lovely meals and is quite popular on a weekend.
