Drunk beers quite often. A nice pub with a nice crowd, but somehow has never managed to transcend its grungy roots. Being a smaller bar, it is the sort of place for drinks in the afternoon or early evening. Especially enjoy the cocktail happy hours.

my local- lucky me. Its comfy, reliable and good. Wine, beer etc etc with a few different areas depending on how many people and the weather- the courtyard is nice (but be wary if you are a non smoker...). i prefer inside overlooking king st. A bit of people watching is endlessly entertaining. there sfood upstairs and they have sav blanc on tap! - its not great but imminently drinkable. friendly, comfy and reliable. see you there.

the newly fitted out newtown hotel is just ok in my opinion. It is really schmick and hip but lost a bit of its character. It now caters to a younger, heterosexual crowd and has lost a bit of its queer appeal. The weekends are busy and i find the crowd pretty annoying. During the day and during the week it is a little quieter. On the up side there are ok priced drinks and wine on tap?!
