Put in an application to rent a house. The staff seemed to indicate that it was unlikely that I would get it without saying why. They said they would call within 3 days with the outcome. They never did. Compare this with Judd White who called to say I was not successful probably because the owners preferred fewer people (4) for a 2 room apartment.

Manners do not cost anything and can make all the difference for a business in the long-term. For future reference, legislation within this country does not give unsuccessful tenants the right to know why their application was rejected. Irrespective of this, hopefully the business in question will learn to offer an improved level of service to their customer base. After all, many renters go on to purchase properties down the track. It might pay for such agents to keep this thought in mind. Regards, Reeces
