I went to buy a pair of jeans as they were having a 30/40% of women's wear ,intimate apparel etc . The staff member that I approached Jade was fantastic ,knew the clothing layout what went with what , very attentive not patronising a compliment to the store. So instead of leaving with just a pairs of jeans $350.00 later I left with a good shopping experience, of helpful and knowledgeable staff. So I emailed Myers with my feedback.
Received an personal email back the next day .

This Myer doesnt have a great range compared to some of the others. As with all the Myer stores, staff are not great. Their knowledge of stock and in particular how to apply specials that are frequently posted out to Myer one holders is abysmal. The poor things need more training. I do love that there is a weight watchers lifestyle centre here and that's what I usually go to in myer.

I enjoy shopping at Myer or even just browsing when there are no sales on. Lack of staff sometimes makes the shopping experience less than perfect. Good range of quality bags in the womens section. Worth a visit especially if you're after a quality and good looking bag and not a cheaper Big W bag. Service is usually pretty good too when there is enough staff around.

Never enough help with selection. I was frustrated when buying an expensive vacuum cleaner (Dyson), person with all the knowledge of product was on break and even then when she did come after 15 minutes she suggested I buy a tool for it and when I got home there was one included in the box. So much for this expert.

I went there to buy a vacuum with some gift vouchers that I had received. They didn't have the model that I was after so I asked them to order it in for me. When I was paying for it (you need to pay before they can order it in for you, which I found frustrating), the lady asked me if I had a Myer One card. I said that I did but that I'd left it at home. I proceeded to pay using my vouchers, which she got confused with and didn't remember which one still had a remaining balance on. I later found out that they had a promotion on where you get something like $75 off for every $200 you spend with your myer one card, which I was NEVER told about. I was really annoyed because the vacuum was really expensive and I could have saved quite a bit by coming back when I had my Myer One card on me. In general the staff seem really poorly trained and uppity. It continues to baffle me why people who work in department stores act like they're so much better than the people actually purchasing items from the store....

Quality - Check the item before you buys sometimes, especially with clothes, if there's fault then u can get them at a discounted price, im usually happy with that.
Service - Cosmetic counters staff are a bit rude and need to be professional. Some are ok and offer professional advice, but most others needs improvement. On other floors they usually need more staff, I have to wait around or walk off.
Value - Its good, always sales and especially negotiating with them to get some faulty item discounted.
Overall - I am happy here, because I always shop here and get good bargains, but the girls at a few cosmetic counter presses on my button sometimes.

I recieved terrible customer service from Myers. I was told I would be taken care of by 5 different women who did not wish to assist me themselves and failed to notify anybody that I was waiting for assistance. I was actually holding a $350 dress in my hand wanting to buy it and still could not get served. I had every one of those ladies also look me up and down as though I was not good enough to be in Myer.

Approximate cost: $350
