This isn't a place you go to just to eat so the food here is alright but nothing special. The cocktails on the other hand, are well worth a visit. If you go, you must try Ms Collins’ Brunch Punch. Yum!
Great place for the best r&b music, upstairs level as a balcony to look down at what's happening downstairs, bar upstairs serves drinks fast, bar downstairs it took about 15 minutes to get served.
Ms Collins is probably better known as a club than a restaurant. As a dining venue, I would have to say I have mixed feelings...
1. the food is alright, commendable if not more
2. the atmosphere is not quite right. too loud if you are dining during club hours, and eerie in a old deserted mansion way during the day
Probably better known and by all appearances more of a night club venue, Ms Collins also offers great bites to eat for those who have stepped off the D floor for the night with a ravenous hunger. Imagine stylish tapas sized plates of Empanadas de picadillo with mission fig mole (wonderfully flaky empanadas filled with melt in your mouth slow cooked lamb and drizzled with sweet mole sauce) or Southern fried chicken ribs with jalapéno mayo.
