Got a hankering for something special, and a good deal of $, then head to Moorilla. Have only been here for lunches and an adult ed course so I cannot comment on dinner. Lunch is fairly structure free and you can order as many dishes as you like depending on how hungry you are. Be warned serving sizes are quite small so its easy to eat through a few. Desserts are very rich and tasty, food is impeccable and has a very heavy Tasmanian focus. Views of the river are great. There is a lot of construction type work going on at the moment (they are building a museum), so check on that before you book. You can water taxi from Hobart Wharf, or go on a ferry tour out there. Something unusual but highly recommended is to take the cycleway from town and grab desert & a glass of wine. For two you should be under $50 and its a real treat!

Approximate cost: $35-40

Please note Moorilla is now rebuilt. There is now a museum. No chance to go back yet. Review is pretty much defunct
