cheap, yet good quality. have a good range of meals and if you don't want big servings they do provide smaller meals which are perfect before movies or for brunch, overall very happy with my experience.

Great food - lots of smaller options to choose from if you just want something light pre or post movies. Super quick and friendly service which is perfect as it's across the road from the Rivoli Theatre.

Eat there often, food & service always good. Always very busy at weekends so need to say if you don't want the meal rushed.

Approximate cost: $25

Yummy Malay food. Excellent noodles. Great spot during summer with sidewalk dining. Cinema closeby is handy for a total night out.

Delicious food and really good value - cheap by the standards of most of the restaurants in the area. I've been here for lunch and dinner and it's been wonderful. In summer they open the front bi-fold doors and create a lovely open-air atmosphere. We will be back again and again to Monk & Me.

Dined here with work colleagues, and ordered a banquet each. The midnight Banquet was really good value. The fish was great. Parking is very difficult, but there is a multi car-park behind the restaurant.

Approximate cost: $38 banquet

My husband and I discovered this place a few years back after going to the Rivoli in Camberwell. We love the atmosphere and the food is fantastic. I organised a Christmas break-up here once and we had the banquet - so much yummy food!

Simon Goh, of Chinta Ria fame, has fired up a new Malaysian-style bistro and named it after one of his jazz heroes. Monk and Me is priced to please and for those who love Goh's work, it'll be a crowd-pleaser. It's a step up from a cafe and a welcome contrast to the half-dozen same-same bistros around the corner on Camberwell Rd. Prices range from low to whoa. The food at Monk & Me is fine without exactly transporting you to Penang. Its yummy and plenty to choose off the menu. We very much enjoyed our impromptu visit to Monk and Me after seeing a movie. The food was very enjoyable and the service was fantastic. I would visit again!

Approximate cost: $35.00
