A gorgeous cute French styled cafe with white wooden chairs and cushions, cute plants in watering cans, over sized clock on the wall, and a view of the pastry chefs hustling and bustling behind in the kitchen. This is my new favorite cafe and a great place for catching up with your girlfriend on a Sunday morning. We shared a few things on our first visit - chicken avocado baguette, cheese mushroom galette - absolutely delicious and simple! the strawberry cream macaron was a party in my mouth i actually moaned at how good it was. It compares favorably to the ones you get at Laduree in Paris. The almond croissant was fresh out of the oven so i had to have one of those as well and that was divine. The coffee was just spot on perfect!!! Can't wait to try more things on my 2nd visit. It is a busy spot at lunch so i would try going there a bit earlier for a morning tea or brunch to avoid the crowd. The pricing is OK for a place in Brighton.

I've been here a couple of times now which is rare because there are so many places on my list I'm wanting to go to.
They have beautiful pastries, baguettes, pies, delicious desserts, bread, macarons and more.
There is seating inside which isn't the most comfortable and the space is tight and the portions are tiny but the quality is very good, food is delicious.
The first time I ordered a coffee here I did not enjoy it but te food is lovely.
Parking can be difficult around this area though.

Agree with the tight space and small portions.
The baguttes are a good size -$8
But the galette (Cheese & mushroom wrap thing) is tiny also $8 but I could easily eat 2 for lunch.

I was looking for lunch and went in there. They have the best chicken baguette and their pastries are amazing. i have gone back everyday for their chocolate croissants which are just the right size. (not too big) Then i discovered their beautiful florentine biscuits. What was dissapointing was the service from the staff. They never smile or make any friendly chit chat. They seem really unhappy to be working there. I thought the first time she was just having a bad day. But everyday it is the same. It almost puts me off going there except that their food is so good.

Approximate cost: $8

The location on the less popular part of Bay street may make you think that there wouldn't be much business at this fairly new French pâtisserie and boulangerie, but you would be mistaken. The bread is delicious, the service personalised and the 'vol-au vents' yummy...and if you are looking at calories when choosing your food, the size of the desserts will be for you- Too large to be called 'miniardises', too small to be called desserts...I guess desserts for the fitness- loving Brightonites...but will always come back for those delicious sourdough breads!

Great casual dining experience in North Brighton. Bread is made on the premises and it's like being transported to France when you sink your teeth into one of their rolls. Wonderful pastries and other sweet delights as well.

Approximate cost: $10
