want to write this review as transparent as possible whilst still acknowledging the expertise of the doctors here. The review is specific to my experience with Dr Fiona Hill but I cannot speak for the other doctors in the clinic.
I recently visited the clinic as I have been experiencing increasing symptoms with my dizziness, ringing in ears, loss of balance, popping in ears sensations and hearing problems.
the day of the visit I was contacted by the clinic and asked if I had had a recent hearing test. The test I had was not a full hearing examination so I was told I would need to have that done at the clinic on arrival. That was fine except it was not explained to me that the test was not bulk billed (please note that this hearing test is available at certain haring centers and is bulk billed so go prepared) and the general feeling I received from the tester was the whole purpose was to promote hearing aid products. But to her credit, she was more thorough in her questioning than Dr Fiona.
On seeing Dr Fiona I was asked what was happening and I gave my story again, (first indicator the hearing test and questions by tester are not because of genuine concern and were not communicated thoroughly to the ENT doctor). Dr Fiona then showed me the results of the hearing test and reconfirmed that hearing aids were needed. That was all fine except I was not there for my hearing problem.
After explaining my symptoms again Dr Fiona proceeded to look briefly in my ears and my throat. The level of this examination was deplorable. Each symptom I had was down played with a simple, "well your ears are fine, your tonsils are medium size and your nasal passage is enough" Let me add that this was in complete contrast to two other ENT specialists I had seen in Turkey in 2020 and Bali 2021.
My history of LPR was not even discussed in the office with Dr Fiona and this is apparently something that Melbourne ENT have prided themselves in with Dr Paul even having a video on Youtube with regards to the complications associated with LPR and throat and ears problems.
I discussed the Maxillary Sinus that was found back in 2020 and was immediately, and I do mean immediately rebutted with a reply:
"We don't touch those, it has been proven that they have no side effects at all, so we just ignore them" I suggest Dr Fiona catch up on the current finding associated with sinus cysts and show a bit more respect and understanding as I can clearly state that my maxillary cyst does cause teeth sensitivity in the area of the cyst at certain times of the month, I have constant post nasal drip from the left side and constant sinus blockage on the left side of my face. The facial sensitivity does increase from time to time.
After that I knew I was in the wrong office with a doctor eager to push me through and get on with her day, or a doctor who was in no way qualified to deal with the issues I am having.
To finish of the appointment, with no thorough examination and each concern being downplayed she wrote that my problem was vestibular and I needed a neurologist. Interestingly, ENT specialists are trained with vestibular issues and it is recommended that your first point of contact is to see an ENT if you are having these types of problems. But I advise this is not the clinic that will help you. As stated by the doctor herself, "people pretty much come to ENT's for tonsils."
So after being charged FULL PRICE to be told to go and see and neurologist, there isn't anything they can do, I left that clinic utterly disillusioned with my health issues and the level of competency of the ENTS in the Melbounre ENT group.

To top it off, I left my earpods in the office and rang to verify they were there, on verification there was not offer to post them out to me as I had travelled a distance to get there, but instead just told to come in and grab them when I can.

I write this review with an element of shock and laughter at how far the Australian Medical system has fallen. Please be wary of the clinic. I will be letting people know that they are better seeking the help from the Royal E and E hospital. Yes the waiting times are longer but they are professional and much more qualified than what I encountered at the Melbourne ENT group.

Approximate cost: $365
