I have just read several of the reviews regarding Forest Hill Medical and dental centre and have to say my experience over at least the last ten years, has been very positive. I have been seeing one of the doctors in particular, Dr Bowen Huang, and have always found him to be totally professional, thorough, personable and caring! I have been seeing Dr Huang regarding a quite challenging and debilitating condition. I am always greeted by my first name and with a welcoming smile! He never appears ‘rushed’, always asked what it is he can do for me and is very thorough in his approach, Treating me as a person and as a patient, not an open check as implied in some reviews I have read.
In what is a quite busy practice, reception staff have always treated me in a professional, courteous manner, evidencing both respect and care. On top of this, the centre bulk bills, making for a quite stress free environment.
I have no reservations in commending the centre to those seeking the stated quality attributes and professional care articulated above.
In short, I haven’t experienced any of the negativity / bad experiences referred to by several of those expressing a view of the centre.

Terrible customer service from the reception, they have no courtesy empathy towards the patients, i am sure management has no interest of fixing the issues. They should not get any stars at all, have a look at the Google reviews.

Would not Reccomend! Terrible service from Drs who are just in a hurry to make sure you don’t take up any more than a few minutes of their time. On another occasion I was turned away 3 hours before closing time as only one doctor was rostered on and he wanted to leave early! So much for duty of care! Stay away if you value your health.

Some really good doctors here. But one or two doctors who seam like they are just there because they are filling in time and don't really like seeing clients (lucky if they see 1 an hour).
I like that the center has many services under one roof, such as radiology, physio, dental, pathology and a chemist, but I do not like the no appointment system as you can wait for hours for a GP unless you request to see one of the efficient ones, when they are in.
I wish we would see more of the good receptionists and less of the ones who have grown comfortable with a "the client can wait" attitude. I feel that the management / ownership of the center has an attitude that if the client is being bulk billed then the client's time is worth nothing so they should wait, even if the client is in pain. Examples include; 1/ inadequate staffing on reception and a reception queue that can take 25 minutes to clear before you are even in the queue to see a doctor and, 2/ calling long meetings for all doctors without pre-advising clients when this will occur. But that's what you get with a management culture offering cattle class processing.
To recap, some doctors who are really good in their own right and try to improve the experience for the client, but a center/ client management / client experience philosophy that seems to be more about cornering the market than giving a stuff about the customer experience. When I can I use a home visiting doctor instead (e.g. evenings).

Some of the Dr's are great, some are so-so but I have to admit some of the receptionists could benefit from some customer service training (mainly some of the younger ones). Good for simple things, script repeats, blood test etc...

Approximate cost: $Bulk Bill

Not my closest medical centre but a good bulk billing centre. Never have to wait long even without an appointment and a pharmacy on the premises means I can get everything I need quickly at one location.
