I've been here a number of times now for leisure purposes, and ice skating in the rink still has plenty of fun to be wrought. I liked that the ice was maintained and smoothed regularly and the staff's willingness to help out and teach if necessary. It's a good group activity, though it can get a bit pricey or crowded depending on the hour, and a good chance to watch everyone humiliate themselves trying to skate or show off their skating talents.

Its a great venue!! I have attended with my friends and their young kids (6 and 3 year olds). Whilst us adults sat back, the kids had a great time skating.

The venue was well maintained and staff were helpful.

My family and I visited this Ice Skating rink last year. I hadn't been on the Ice for quite a few years and was very surprised and happy that I still could skate a bit and didn't fall over.

My two boys gave it a good go and managed to stay up for most of the time. My husband my hopless and went off after only 30 minutes and refused to come back on. What a waste of a perfectly good ticket.

I was impressed with the size of the Skating rink and how often they came in to clean and manage the ice.

A very enjoyable time was had by myself and my children.

I've started visiting the Medibank Icehouse quite often as I've taken up curling. The venue is quite new and really is state-of-the-art; the ice rinks are better than any others I've visited in Australia over the years. You can go for general ice skating, but there are other winter sports played there such as curling and ice hockey as well.

In terms of cost, the entrance fees are quite high (over $20 for an adult including skate hire) and food and beverages are quite expensive too. That being said, it is a wonderful venue and it will hopefully see lots of people get involved in winter sports and maybe even become future Olympians!
