Big big choice to sit outside or in, the heaters are outside in winter making it cosy with a hot chocolate. I do think its a bit pricey but its only a treat once in a while so worth the time spent there. Te decor is roomy and a little dark for my liking but i still love the place. The chocolate is to die for. Have had waffles made fresh and the shakes are so thick and delicious. Usually a treat after the movies across the pathway. Child friendly, lots of room, service is pretty fast.the guys and girls serving are friendly enough and have a Smile for you. All in all a great relaxing end to a night at portside,go for a walk along the river after dessert well worth it

Yum this place just smells amazing let alone the food. I've had the sundaes and strawberries with dipping choc and everything was delicious.. Their coffee's are ok.. mocha was a bit sickening.. and didn't like the hug mug much but their desserts are great

Approximate cost: $20

No queues when we arrived at 8.45pm on a Tuesday night. Shop looks clean, tidy and well maintained. The guy who served us was friendly and efficient.

I was a bit disappointed with the 'thick Italian hot chocolate' as it wasn't actually thick and it was WAY too sweet. Don't order it if you're having a dessert too. And at $6.50, that's a costly disappointment.

The tutti frutti waffles were great but I still find it weird that they serve it with a knife and fork. Strange, eating ice cream with a fork.

A bit pricey for the desserts but for something different, or for a powerful chocolate hit, it's a good place to go.

Met a friend for coffee/hot chocolate on Sunday 23rd September 2012. I'd never experienced Max Brenner before - so many people I know have raved about the shop at South Bank, but complained about the lengthy queues. This was not the case at Hamilton - we met at 9am, I ordered a cappuccino, as I hadn't had my coffee fix for the day as yet - no queue - extremely good value $3.60 and the service was quick and presentation and taste was amazing! There was steady stream of customers all day (we walked around Portside afterwards, but came back for another coffee/hot chocolate), but nothing overwhelming as far as queues went. The only disappointing thing I found in the store was the cost of individual chocolates - admittedly they looked amazing, but sorry guys, definitely would not pay $5.20 for a square (2cm) of chocolate. That said, I would go again just for the cappuccino and watching other customers indulge in decadent chocolate treats - have never seen so much chocolate being consumer in one place at one time! My only suggestion, please review the price of merchandise and chocolates, as the "menu" items are reasonably priced.

Approximate cost: $3.60
