My other half booked us lunch for today at Market & Co. After reading the reviews on a number of websites i was expecting no service and a very average meal.. I have to say that the staff members we dealt with were very quick and friendly. We were seated and given water for the table..

I had the Nasi Goreng with the satay sticks which was yummy and nicely presented not to mention piping hot and quite good servings. We will be going back for sure. Price wise its perth prices and to be expected.

My husband and I eat out quite a lot. We have been here multiple times and it is continually great. Service is wonderful, staff are friendly. The food is consistently great. We always have steak and this is the only place in Perth that consistently gets it perfect no matter how you order it. I like my steak well done but not dry cardboard well done. I like it to be moist and juicy just no blood and Market and Co gets it spot on every time. Well done guys keep it up

Approximate cost: $30-$40

We dined here as as a table of 7 for a late lunch on Saturday. As it was late, there was just another large table behind us having high tea. We were promptly seated. Service was pretty brisk and a little rushed as the waitress came over to ask us if we were ready to order a couple of times. After mains were served, we were left to our own devices for a long while. We had wanted to have dessert but it seems that our waitress had dissapeared and there was no service for our table. It seems that she had clocked off her shift and no one took over. Anyway, we did manage to catch the attention of another wait staff and we did order coffee and dessert (apple crumble). The service was polite.

Ambience-wise, it is bright and light and I liked the chairs. It was pretty casual, which is great for lunch.

In terms of food, the portions were quite generous. Our table had a caesar salad, gnocchi, pasta, pork medallions, fish and chips, beef cheek pie and Reuben sandwich. Everyone enjoyed their dishes although I felt the baramundi fish and chips could benefit from a lighter, tempura-style batter. My Reuben sandwich was probably the most dissapointing dish as it looked a bit flat and the meat was not juicy/tender and seemed a bit dry. Everyone else thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

I wouldn't mind eating here again as it's not as bad as the reviews you see online. Plus, it is pretty good value for money.

Approximate cost: $25
