went to morpeth at the weekend as i was looking at some local art works,we dropped into this cafe/tea room ,they were busy and that is usually a good sign, but alas it went down hill very quickley, the english tea which i had was very ordinary and the cup had lip stick on it,i would not recommend this place unless you want a cold drink

Went to Maggie G's for breakfast with my adult children. We ordered Terry's Eggs Benedict. Could not see any food on the plate because it was swimming in the worst Hollandaise sauce, absolutely tasteless and an absolutely ludicrous amount of sauce. Also ordered Hearty Farmers Breakfast. This was sausage (1), 2 tomato halves, potatoe rosti, mushrooms with gravy and 2 pieces of shortcut bacon. The gravy in this meal was watery and tasteless and once again the meal was floating in it. Potato rostis were also tasteless and I think probably frozen. Also ordered an omlette which was not fluffy at all, more like fried egg. Service was attentive. The cafe itself was very clean and also had outdoor seating but we chose to sit inside because people were smoking at the tables outside.

Approximate cost: $16.00
