Garbage $57 for two serves of fish some calamari and some chips. Ordered red emperor would have been easier to eat my thong to be honest ordered early and still waited 45 mins after pickup. Used to be good falling to pieces lately wont be back.

The best local seafood/fish and chip shop in Hervey Bay. Friendly staff, reasonable prices and amazing food. Easy to find with access to parking, located across from a park with toilet amenities. A great family friendly shop.

We always love to eat at Maddigans and often recommend it to friends from out of town. It's great value and always tastes fresh and good, especially the calamari! Make sure you ring ahead to order though as they're always very busy.

I had heard lots of good things about this place and were not disappointed. We both ordered the $11.80 barra and chips meal deal which came with 3 massive pieces of melt-in-your-mouth battered barramundi on top of a mound of hot chips. We purchased some chicken salt for our chips but were disappointed by this. It wasn't the traditional salt+sugar combo, but instead something that seemed to be purchased from a supermarket. It tasted average and spoiled the chips. If I was going to Maddigans again I would definitely purchase the same thing, minus the chicken salt and just do lots of normal salt instead.

Convenient fish and chips shop when spending a day with the family at the beach. The first few times we went there we found the food and service to be quite good, however the last time we attempted to go there, we waited 20 minutes and then left. They gave us the impression they were ignoring our presence. The cod and chip deal was reasonably priced for the amount that was given, but were not salted and was not given the option. We find it hard to get parking, especially now as they have taken car parks away to make more seating.

Maddigans has always been a fav of mine, the owners are great friendly people who are more then happy to help out with any info about their local and imported produce, always fresh and tastes amazing. When in Hervey Bay, Maddigans is located on the main strip the Esplanade and is very easy to find, always great food an friendly service an I would always recommend

Thought we had found a little treasure in Maddigan's fish and chippery when we first moved to Hervey Bay. The first time we bought flake & chips it was just beautiful and tender. We have been back twice since on a Friday night for the same and had to throw it out...the fish was full of gristle and like chewing boot leather....surely we are not the only ones to have experienced this....won't be back there again but will try the fish & chippery at Point Vernon now, fingers crossed!
