This was pretty cool as an activity to do while in Sydney - the wax models look really great.

I recommend booking online as you save quite a bit of money - and less popular times are cheaper too if you are trying to save.

The museum is well set out with different rooms for each kind of category of models. There is lots of room to take photos and props so you can be in the scene.

Allow 1-2 hours to go around, depending how many photos you want to take.

Approximate cost: $25

such a fun place to go to and doesn't take too long to navigate around! i love how we can take as many photos as we can and how there are props as well

prices are a bit steep (especially the photos) but worth it if you havent been to a wax museum before

Conveniently located near Wildlife World and Sydney Aquarium. You can buy a pass for all 3 for a discounted rate. Can see this place in under 2 hours and is pram friendly. Go on a week day if possible to avoid crowds.

The wax figurines were amazing! I actually bumped into one and apologised before realising that it was wax. It was very crowded when we went in perhaps they could cap the amount of people allowed in at one time. Overall it was a great experience but very expensive

Approximate cost: $40

Where else in Sydney can you get up and close to your fave celebs and take happy snaps too? Madame Tussauds of course. It cost us about $75 for a family of 4 ( we booked tickets online), whilst we did enjoy getting inside and spotting our fave celebs , I found we went through rather quickly, just over an hour really!

There are different zones for the celebs inside like the music zone, a-list zones, history, leaders, sport , culture and film. There is surely a celeb you would like to pose with for s happy snap and you can even play an interactive game of tennis with Lleyton Hewitt and they have some interactive workshops to keep the kids entertained by making wax hands (but must be 8 or over), unfortunately my two were underage, so couldn't participate.

Approximate cost: $75

Seems a little pricey for what you are receiving back and the length of the experience.

I agree ( price wise) but I had to come at least once to see what all the hype was JMS1984!

Wax models of celebs, exactly what you expect. Some look close in features, others look like a standard shop mannequin with a wig. Great for taking snaps to add to the photo album. It's quick to get through. Positioned conveniently with the Wildlife Zoo and the Aquarium.

Approximate cost: $25+

My family visited Madam Tussauds recently on a day out in the city. While we enjoyed the visit we found it didn't take us very long to get through it (less than an hour) and thought it wasn't good value for money. The wax figures were amazing and we enjoyed getting our photos taken with them. It does tend to get quite crowded inside and there is not much room in some places and you feel like you are always in someones way.

I love how they have real koalas outside

Rubbish compared to the previous one they had in Sydney many many years ago and big fat 0 compared to the one in London. The price is too high for the figures they have on display. The online booking is bad as well it gives you one price but as you check out and depending on time of the day you will see the price going up so the cheap price is only good if you plan to go really early or very late.

Thanks for the information about the prices going up. Useful to know.

The best day of my life was spent at Madame Tussauds Sydney. Great value for money and the ease of booking tickets online and providing the copy of an email on my phone was exceptional. It also provided great savings. The exhibits are amazing. My 7yo grandson was blown away with the whole experience. He and I can't wait to go back and enjoy the exhibits again.

Approximate cost: $24.50 -$35 Adult
