This is a great but small pet store! It seems to be a family run business and the staff are really knowledgeable about their products :) they are definitely cheaper than most commercial pet stores on most items so that is always nice

The staff here are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. They have a fantastic range of stuff for all your furry (and fur-less) little friends and their prices are reasonable.

Staff are helpful and will go out of there way to assist you. Held a product for my mother which was helpful. They have a good range of products and often buy supplies for our rabbit from here.

I have been going to Mad about Pets since it very first opened and have never had any problems. The staff have always been very helpful and they have a huge range of products. There animals are always well looked after. I have bought puppies from their and they have always had a very good temperament when fully grown and not had any health issues.

The staff are so helpful here, nothing is too much trouble they will go out of their way to help or research a product for you. The store is nice and clean and they have another area of the store two shops down that houses the birds, fish, reptiles and rabbits whilst the other store is home to the dogs and cats. Great range of food, toys and accessories available.

I buy most of my supplies from them, especially bird seed in bulk. The bird seed is far better quality and price than anything you buy in a supermarket. I've found the staff pleasant to deal with and helpful.
I've never bought a pet from here but have sold birds to them. Not sure if I'll keep doing so as I think that some of the birds are overcrowded and show signs of stress.

July 27 I purchased a 6 year old Cavalier, ex breeding female. I paid $477.I was given a health Certificate from them stating the dog is healthy and has tartar on her teeth. I did not know the extent of the dental problems as the dog had not had a full dental check as I asked the Vet that desexed her. He told me he couldn't perform a dental check whist desexing. I took her to my Vet for a health check. She had to have Four rotten teeth
removed, years of plaque cleaned off, costing me $375. She also had a very bad nfection in both ears, which was obviously left untreated for a long time. Vet cleaned out both ears and with medication cost me a further $200, and this problem is ongoing. I also learned on the day I picked up this dog, that she was not house trained even though she is 6 yrs old, this was because was in a puppy
farm, Murray River Puppies, where she was breeding in an outdoor cage all her life, with minimum or no Vetinary care. I emailed Mad About Pets about this and got no reply. When I told them I was concerned about her teeth, they offered me 10% discount if I took her to their vet, however all Vets offer 10% discount in August, as it's Pet Dental month. Considering I have been a customer there for many years and spent a lot of money in their shop, owning 2 cats a puppy and the dog I bought from them,the owners treatment towards me is disgusting. Loyalty counts for nothing here. They gave my private details to the puppy farmer who supplies their store. Those details are not supposed to be given out. An employee of MRP has posted parts of my reviews on a public FB site, stating I'm a whinger because they don't like this review.

Went in looking for pet food and toys for my new kitten the other day. Huge range of items and I could hardly pick!
I also loved the enclosures they had their pets in which were quite large and you could see that they had space to run around unlike other pet shops.
Decent pricing too, not as cheap as some I've seen, but definitely up there
Ended up leaving with a toy or two :)

I just wanted to say how impressed I am with how the keep their animals!
Rather then the tinny little glass cubes most pet shops keep their animals in, Mad About Pets keeps them in large enclosures so the can run around. They all look very happy and healthy.

Also the staff are always friendly and helpful.
