So I have been back to this place to give it a chance and all I can say is that it's got worse.

It's under new management which means the first thing they do is increase the price. Now I already felt this place was too expensive in June 2012, a year and two months on and let's say inflation hasn't exactly caught up with the prices and price hike.

If you are thinking of the lunch specials, you will need to order two meals to make up for the small size. So though it may look cheap, it's rubbish.

I could break down every dish my family and I ordered. But the entree sums it up. We ordered the Satay chicken, where everywhere else in the world doesn't come Deep FRIED with soggy thick batter around each piece of chicken - it's normally BBQ'd. Then on top of this was the worse satay sauce which had no satay flavour, it was like peanut butter 10% and water 90% which shouldn't be on any food. Especially deep fried battered food!

Now repeat this explanation for all main dishes and you have an understanding of where I am coming from. I have tried to given them a second chance, especially since management has changed. But never again, not at any price and especially considering the prices.

Approximate cost: $20

Thanks for your review it all sounds quite scary and I had better give this place a big miss

Thanks for the heads-up and additional detail. Given the negative comments surrounding this establishment and our dislike of wasting money and food, we will likely avoid this establishment.

We ordered from here last night when my friends' usual Chinese takeaway was closed for the evening. It was good to try a different place for exactly that reason ... sometimes you don't know when your favourite place will be closed!

I found the Special Fried Rice to be a bit bland and uninteresting with very few tiny prawns to be found. The chilli chicken was meant to be of Szechuan origin but as a fan of Szechuan cuisine, I found there to be little resemblance. This is usually to cater for Australian palates though. It was tasty enough but a bit too cornflour-y for my liking.

The dim sims and spring rolls were overcooked but still very enjoyable and nicely crunchy.

My friend enjoyed his beef dish.

Prices are a bit expensive to be honest. What we did appreciate was the helpfulness and manner of the lady who answered the phone and took our order.

Would probably try again.

Hi Ginalof, given the expressed areas of complaint, we find it odd that you rated this business so highly…perhaps you have been overly generous? Nevertheless, we appreciated the detail. Reeces

Firstly, I was after a particular dish and I was thankful for the service as they custom made it for me.

However, I believe this place is very overpriced for the quality of the food. As it was dinner for my birthday, we were OK to splurge a little, but I would definitely not say this was worth the expense.

Our spring rolls & Dim sims were actually burned (we had home delivery so couldn't return them) and they seemed like they were cooked in old oil.

The "special" fried rice only had 1 prawn in a large container and a very small amount of meat.

What gave this a slightly higher than deserved rating was the service.

Approximate cost: $16

After perusing this (and other reviews), we would not go out of our way to visit this establishment. Thanks for the candid review. Reeces

The biggest issue I have with this place is price. We are talking about a suburban Chinese restaurant who wants to change $20 for mains. When you compare this to the competition in the local area, I would suggest Womo'ers go else where.

The actual food is good and the service is fine, though a few times it took forever to get the bill, we have been here once with my family and then as a business group. But both have been similar experiences.

Approximate cost: $20

Just visited this place and had a take away King Prawn Omellete with large special fried rice. Containers were very large. the cuisine more singaporian than chinese, the sit in decor outdated and needing refreshing, service was slow only because they cooked it then and there which is appreciated so that you do not have to put up with last nights left overs reheated. Generally a step up from most chinese and prices was all up $27 for an amount that would feed 2-3 adults. Not salty or greasy

Approximate cost: $27 for a meal for two take away

It's a nice restaurant that's pretty big. The staff are friendly. The prices are reasonable. The food is good, not great but good and it's at an easily accessible location.

We love the food here, especially the yum cha - even if you do order from the menu. The food is always fresh, consistently good and great portion sizes.
