Having been to the Los Latinos Cafe in Maidstone i was really looking forward to the bigger cafe in Ascot Vale. I went on Saturday for a dinner and liked the atmosphere of the place, live band with people dancing, large covered outside area. Was given the menu and was shocked at the prices, maybe it is just my opinion but over $15 for 4 pupusas is not great value, it is not even good value. I ordered them anyway as i enjoyed them at the cafe in Maidstone. It took over an hour for them to arrive. I understand Saturday's are busy but pupusas are not exactly a time consuming meal to make, they are very simple and quick. I was given a very small portion of the salad, barely enough for the 4 pupusas i was given. The taste was quite ordinary also. Very disappointed in this cafe. I will not go again but i hope that the quality of the Maidstone cafe is still good.
