I love the food, I think its great for a date! Anything in this area is a little pricey but probably what you would expect going in. French/Vietmanese Fusion, its really delicious . Free parking for 2 hours at the Barracks!

I can hardly fault this place, super romantic, amazing food, great staff! A little costly but totally worth it. My favourite date night restaurant! Always recommending the scallops

The cocktails here are quite good and not too over priced for a night out. however I would not go back here to eat. The atmosphere and service is great but the food is very over priced and it was mostly big plates with small expensive prices of food that were not worth the cost.

I loved the decor of this French Vietnamese restaurant. The meals were all beautifully presented but maybe a bit on the small side for the cost.

The restaurant is beautifully furnished in what you would expect to be of a French Vietnamese restaurant. As I don't meat I can't make comment on these dish's but I can say that my fellow diners were raving about the pork belly and the Pate (entree). The seafood entree dishes were a bit of a letdown, sounded great but quickly forgotten once eaten however the mussels (main) had a tasty broth. Good but not great is what I would say

Approximate cost: $30.00

I visited Libertine over the weekend for the first time and had high expectations, due to its location and reviews. However I was sadly disappointed when it came to the food. For such a nice leather-bound menu book, I was expecting individual entrees, mains and desserts but Libertine has a 'share' system and instead of fine dining, I suddenly felt like I was ordering bar food. The prices were ridiculous for the food we got served. Everything was overcooked. The pork that was obviously meant to have a caramel glaze, tasted like sugar had literally been placed on top of it. The squid was chewy and amongst other plates the Wagyu steak was served to us cold. Being disappointed with the food, we ordered a cocktail each, which was also a mistake. The mojito tasted like lime cordial and bitters. The best meal of the night was actually dessert, which we got from the Palace Barrack Cinemas (seeing as Libertine doesn't offer dessert on their menus). For over $100, we expected a lot more than what we received.

Approximate cost: $30
