This is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere to dine at. I recommend you go and enjoy a leisurely lunch or dinner.

The cuisine is delicious. My friend and I shared some appetizers followed by thai green curry chicken which was full of flavour, the gravy had a good consistency (not too thick and not runny).

I am happy to go back again!

Went to Lemongrass last night for dinner. Really loved it - its a great little quiet place in busy Lygon Street. The ambiance is really calming and the service is exceptional. The food is lovely - I read some of the other reviews that say it is not 'pure' Thai but I think that is to cater for the Australian palate. We loved the food.

According to the store sign, this place serves up "Royal Thai Cuisine" and that they've won many awards. Of course with a sign like that, I decided I must try this place at least once.
The prices are certainly at the level of "Thai royal"- it is a fine dining place. But foods were to be honest pretty mediocre. Funny thing was, they have malaysian and singaporean foods on the menu too. I later on found out from my brother who happened to have a job interview at that place, the owner is a Malaysian.
The servings were pretty small and the foods are not as authentic as I expected. The only good thing about this place is that it is not crowded and has a nice ambience due to the fine dining.

I tried the buffet at Lemongrass Thai and I must say it was a terrible experience. The food on the serving plates weren't fresh and food variety was little. Even though it was only $20 per person, I would love to see more meat on the table rather than just greens.

Approximate cost: $20

There's good reason why this restaurant is classified as "Royal Thai Cuisine" and just keeps winning awards year on year. They're outstanding!!

I have been going here for over 15 years and every time I go its consistency just keeps impressing me. Whether I'm dressed up or casual I'm always paid the same respect as any other paying customer and when I've arranged groups there they're taken care of us with their banquet offerings.

Amazing Thai, its like I've been transported to Thailand without the humidity! Highly recommend, be careful of what looks like capsicum in the green chicken curry, it really is chilli haha!

Approximate cost: $15-34
