Friends introduced me to this place. It was quite busy when we arrived. Ordered original porchetta pizza, creamy salmon pasta and foccacia ripena mediterranean. The pizza had a decent amount of toppings and tasted quite good. The pasta was rich, creamy and satisfying. The foccacia was a bit unusual almost like a crusty pie. This place is good value.

La Porchetta is not what it used to be!! The food is reasonably ok for a quick cheap dinner when you don't want to cook- they do make a ok Pizza. Their service is pretty ok, not the greatest but ok all the same..I dont mind going here now and then.

These people are fantastic, the only reason I give them better than average value is because if they stuff up your order they will redo the entire thing for you and they are always so nice and happy! Their food is traditional La Porchetta greatness, with beautiful ingredients and fantastic desserts! I have eaten here so many times whilst out to do my shopping I couldn't count with one hand.

I purchased takeaway from La Porchetta's in Melton...i ordered Pollo E Funghi...it was bland, watery and very ordinary...i make a better Funghi at home...the chicken pieces looked and tasted like they had been processed(tasteless) and the mushrooms did taste like fresh mushrooms(more like dried mushrooms)...my partner had Calabrese and it was very ordinary with not much flavour...we will not order food or eat there...yuk...i would like to cook my pasta and take it to the head chef and show him how you cook italian...

A group of mums came with prams on a Friday lunchtime, there was one or two other tables. We were asked to move once, we had orders dumped at the end of the table. I did not feel welcome or comfortable. Do not split bills. The pizza we ordered was okay.

We have dined in and had takeaway in the last few months and found both times the Pizza's are too doughy and not cooked thoroughly enough. There are plenty of other pizza places in Melton that are far better. They use to be one of my fave's but no longer.

We were the only diners at the time we went. The waiter was quite rude to us, I think he wanted to watch the footy game on the TV! He didn't smile and we felt like we were intruding. Later when we were nearly ready to leave another waitress served us and she was lovely.

The size of the meals and value for money is definitely a high point of this place. The staff are friendly enough, and the meals come out quite quickly, but if you need anything beyond this don't have high expectations. Drink orders have been lost, but have ended up on the bill anyway more then once. Once the staff have brought your meals, they seem to avoid your gaze and you frequently have to go up to the counter for help even if the restaurant is empty.

We had little time to sit down for dinner so called in about 10 minutes before arriving and placed our order so that we could eat as soon as we arraive. They agreed, however we still had to wait a little while. otherwise, the mushroom risotto was great, good value for such a large meal.
