La Porchetta in Croydon is located in an odd position, considering their largest competitor is right next door! But, they do a great job here.

The staff are very friendly and accommodating, always there to help whenever you need them.

The food is what you would hope for at a family restaurant. The quality is adequate and the servings are generous. My wife and I shared a pasta entree on our last visit, and they were kind enough to serve it in two separate bowls before bringing it out. It's the little things that count.

The value is quite good, too.

One tip: They sell desserts for $5 each if you take away, which is a bargain!

Whatever has happened at La Porchetta's? The food was always great. Tonight we got 2 Family pizzas and they were very ordinary. The base was barely cooked and the toppings were tasteless. The quality was terrible. We are shocked and will not be returning.

Enjoyed another perfectly cooked steak tonight served with crunchy vegetables. Efficient and quick service, lovely food and the best value meal going. Only $13.95 for a steak or parma on Wednesday and Thursday evenings! Amazing.

Not my favourite Italian restaurant, the food is satisfactory and the price reasonable, but for the other local options out there, I'd more than likely choose this place sparingly

Approximate cost: $14

Great restaurant, sitting right next to its rival, but it definitely takes the cake. The staff are really friendly, and they always cater for you when it comes to allergies and illness

Lovely people, fast friendly service and all yummy food served with a smile and a nice chat. The atmosphere is what you'd expect but it is so good value for money, the meals are huge and well worth the trip with the family for a feed!

Approximate cost: $10

Had a pizza and it was fantastic. Had a not so good experience here a couple of years ago but it seems now they have their act together! Yummy pizzas!

We ordered take away from La Porchetta Croydon so I can't comment on the dining experience but in an area where we are not spoiled for choice for great, traditional pizza, La Porchetta is a standout!
The pizzas were delicious, with the just the right amount of sauce and traditionally made and by that I mean not a kilo of cheese plonked on top.
The ham was tasty, the olives weren't dry and tasteless and the other ingredients were nice and fresh.
Pastry was just the right thickness, not like a Salada but not thick like a focaccia.
After trying out all of the pizza shops in the area La Porchetta is the best and we'll go back!
Don't be fooled by Sophia's next door. Yes it's big and there always seems to be a lot of people in there but their pizzas are shocking and don't hold a candle to La Porchetta.
