Strawberry shortcake is amazing. Drool worthy. Pay by the weight, quick service, lovely coffee and a nice place for something special

The variety of cakes at Kurtosh is amazing and the best thing about it is that the cake is sold by weight so you can sample a variety of different cakes. My favourite cake is their strawberry sponge cake

So is Kurtosh authentic Hungarian pastries? Sadly it doesn't come close. I don't mind it at all - but I just find it over priced quantity wise. Great use of space and I like how they make the food in front of the customers - authentic style. But the finished product is too sweet - probably works in the Australian market place but not for me. The other cakes we tried, tasted like they have been there too long.

Yeah it's okay, but wouldn't be rushing there too soon. $9 was 200g if I recall correctly.

Approximate cost: $9.00

A wonderful place for dessert! I've tried two of the cakes, and they were both delicious--will definitely return for more, and perhaps get a little sampling of five or six cakes next time (they charge by weight, which is really great)!

Amazing Hungarian cakes and pastries served here that must be tried rather than me explaining what they were (essentially a hollow thin doughnut made from a special pastry and covered in toppings such as almonds, nutella etc). The nutella kurtosh is a personal favorite while the coffee here is second to none!

I have never tried Hungarian treats, although they do sound very interesting and delicious!

Great variety of cakes, sold by weight so you can buy as little or as much as you want. All freshly baked and delicious. Some on offer include:- Strawberry sponge cake, Cookies and Cream cheese cake, Chocolate cake, Blondie etc.
The Nutella Kurtosh is an all time favourite.

I love this place - we go every week for cake and coffee. Great atmosphere, from a coffee date to a larger group. delicious cakes. The best part is you can have as much or as little as you want because they charge per gram. This means you can try a bit of several cakes - solving the age old dilemma of which one to buy. It's not the cheapest cake shop compared to takeaway cakes, but compared to most cafes it's excellent value. I feel like a child in a candy store - only I'm a grown up and they're cakes!

Approximate cost: $4/100g
