I had dinner at Koy last week with friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food. If you want great Turkish food at reasonable prices, try Koy and you won't be disappointed.

A delightful place.
Koy would have to be my 'go to' for turkish food, when I am not up for a trek to Sydney Rd/Brunswick.
I really like both the atmosphere and food at Koy. It is low key, reasonably priced, delicious and made using quality produce.

Cheap menu, wide range to choose from, staff were welcoming and friendly. Atmosphere was a bit annoying with such a small gap between each table and seat food also took a while to be served

We ate a la carte, which I think was a good way to go. It meant we could order and eat what we wanted.
We had for entrees the imam bayaldi (turkish classic eggplant - $12.50), red lentil rissoles ($10), for mains the manti (homemade turkish ravioli - $20), slow cooked turkish meatball stew ($23.50) and for dessert the rice pudding ($9).
It was a bit hit and miss. Some dishes were pretty good (the turkish ravioli and rice pudding for example) others were poorly executed or simply unreasonably sized (ie. the imam bayaldi consisted of with 2 slices of eggplant wrapped around some of the classic stuffing and sitting on a mound of yoghurt on the plate).
Generally, I found it a little expensive for what we were being served. The brunch menu did look good however, so perhaps I might return to see if the brunch menu offers better deal.

We bought online vouchers for a 6-course Turkish Feast so that we could get a taste for Turkish food before our upcoming trip to Turkey. Both our friends and we were not disappointed. The waitress explained what all the food was and was very friendly and interested that we will soon be traveling to Turkey. The way it was all served and presented was nice and the silverware and dishes just made it that much more special. Being a Friday night there was live music which just added to the atmosphere. Even though it was fairly busy we didn't have to wait long for our food. Would definitely go back there again.

i had an enjoyable experience back when koy was fairly new. i took my date, we drunk wine, ate olives and chatted with the owner - great guy! looking forward to the harem!

i think the menu has varied middle eastern influences and that the overall identity of koy restaurant is turkish inspired.

We we're in for dinner one night on a Friday and had the most amazing evening. They had a live band with soft back ground music which complimented the evening perfectly. The wait staff were attentive and warm and help us choose some great dishes. We shared some beautiful Meze which was all served in authentic Turkish crockery. The quality and authenticity made me feel like i was back in Turkey. Can't wwait to go back to Koy again.

The food was not turkish but other middle easten dishes. I eat Turkish a lot as well as other middle eastern foods. As they specify they are turkish they should serve it. I was unable to eat half of it as I did not like it. I make better. Sitting on wooden chairs for the meal was painful.

Went there for brunch yesterday. It was lovely to sit outside in the sun and watch all the people go by. I ordered the corn cakes with egg and salmon and it was the best I've had. My husband ordered the turkish rissoles and he said that was great as well. We'll definitely be back soon.

Came here, a Turkish restaurant for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Apart from the other usual seating arrangements, there were 2 big tables with high chairs, that were like sharing tables with others and we went to sit there. It wasn't very busy, so the table wasn't full and we were sitting quite a distance from the other patrons. It was quite a wait for the food, but it was worth it. I ordered a more traditional style breakfast. Got to try some Turkish bread I had never tried before. The way they served it was very quite special lovely too, in an attractive Turkish style dish. The turkish decor was nice too, but it wasn't overly fancy to still keep a casual feel about it. A great place if you either, like me, am a fan of Turkish cuisine and thoroughly enjoy Turkish breakfasts, or if you are wanting to try Turkish cuisine for the first time!

Approximate cost: $15
