I decided to stay here on my first visit to Fraser Island, its called an Eco resort but I wasnt expecting it to be quite so rustic! Rooms are in need of an update, and its a good idea to take any drinks and snacks you want to consume in your room with you as the island store prices are ridiculous.
The restaurant at the resort is really good with lots of local ingredients used and there is good live music at the bar in the evening.
If you dont have a 4WD there are some tours (very expensive!!) otherwise you will be pretty much stranded at the resort for the duration of your stay.

It is one of the best places I have ever been, they have amazing views, fishing, camping, wildlife. The people there are really easy to get along with. Great get away place.

This place is great. Room was small, but we were out playing & site seeing, so it didn't matter. Place was always nice & clean. Close enough to everything you will want to see. Nice staff, good rooms. Nice food. But in general a little bit pricey (especially when you are a family trying to stick to a budget), but your stuck on an island what else can you do. And you are on holiday after all. We loved everything about the resort though & have passed on our recommendation to many since.

We love kingfisher bay resort, it is so gorgeous there and there is so much to do and see however it is slightly pricey so be prepared to open your wallet, however it is well worth it.

Went here when I was young and absolutely loved it. My mother and father took as kayaking. The design of the resort is beautiful never seen such a beautiful place.

Great place to stay when you want to explore Fraser Island without camping. I do however feel the prices are a little high but I feel that is how it is all over the island. We got to see some wonderful animals and landscape whilst there. The rooms are very cosy. Our son loved going on the sand dunes! The pool is great for a relaxing swim instead of the waves at the beach. The place could do with a makeover as it feels old but still homey

my dad was one of the men building this resort! so i have spent plenty of time on the island and at this resort, beautiful place and would reccomend it to anyone in a hearbeat!

I really liked the room that we stayed in. It had a very rainforest feel to it and it was modern. It was a little small though. The resort itself is lovely. We were able to get up close to nature and enjoyed a refreshing swim in the resort pool. At the poolside restaurant we enjoyed an all-you-can-eat seafood buffet and followed the evening up by taking a stroll to the nightclub. For lunch the next day we ate at the Sandbar, and was also very delighted with the meal, even though it was a little pricey. The service was professional and friendly and we were not required to walk from the jetty to the resort as we were driven in a buggy. I thoroughly recommend Kingfisher Bay Resort.

We had high expectations of this place and were very disappointed. Rooms were filthy, outdated and just not very pleasant to be in. For the price that they charge you'd think that they could spruce it up a bit. Looks the same as when I visited after the Expo! At least there some nice shops around the resort(?!)

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin and The place is in desperate need of an updating. Because the cabins are privately owned the staff are not that helpful on resolving issues with the tv that we had. It did not work at all and The staff sent over the electrician and he was kind enough to bring a spare tv. The track coming into the resort is a bit rough so you must have a good 4wd.
